Description

A delicious spaghetti dish with prawns and garlic, perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g spaghetti
  • 250g raw prawns, deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water

Instructions

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and chilli flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add prawns to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  4. Add butter and let it melt into the skillet.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Stir to coat everything in the sauce.
  6. Squeeze in lemon juice, add parsley, and toss again. Serve hot with extra chilli flakes if desired.

  • This dish is best served immediately for optimal flavor.
  • Adjust red chilli flakes according to your spice preference.
