Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons neutral oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15 to 20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
  3. Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
  5. Remove tofu and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
  7. Add sauce to the pan and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  8. Add the fried tofu back into the pan and toss to coat.
