A delicious and crispy fried tofu dish, perfect as an appetizer or main course.
Ingredients

- 1 block extra-firm tofu
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons neutral oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- Press the tofu for 15 to 20 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry tofu until golden and crispy on all sides.
- Remove tofu and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate.
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
- Add sauce to the pan and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the fried tofu back into the pan and toss to coat.
- Cook for an additional minute, then serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the tofu in soy sauce for 30 minutes before coating.
- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
