- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter (or vegan butter)
- 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, and baking powder.
- Stir in the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- If desired, fold in chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey treat.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow cooling before slicing into squares.
Notes
- This recipe can easily be made vegan by using vegan butter and non-dairy milk.
