Ingredients

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar then mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.
- Add flour baking powder and salt and mix until dough forms then chill 30 minutes.
- Roll dough cut heart shapes and place on lined baking sheet.
- Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes then cool completely.
- Mix glaze ingredients spread over cookies and let set before serving.
Notes
- For a fun variation, try adding sprinkles on top of the glaze.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
