Description

Delicious shrimp tacos topped with fresh slaw, avocado, and a creamy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lime, juiced (divided)
  • 6 corn tortillas
  • 1½ cups shredded cabbage
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • ¼ cup pickled red onions (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Toss the shrimp with taco seasoning, olive oil, and juice from half a lime.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
  3. In a small bowl, mix sour cream, remaining lime juice, and garlic powder to create a crema.
  4. In a separate bowl, toss shredded cabbage with lime juice and a pinch of salt for the slaw. Let sit.
  5. Warm corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
  6. To assemble each taco, layer slaw, shrimp, avocado slices, and drizzle with crema. Top with cilantro and pickled onions. Serve immediately.
