Description

These delicious puff pastry knots are filled with garlic, parsley, and cheese, perfect as an appetizer or snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 (17 ) package puff pastry (thawed)
  • ¼ cup minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup shredded Italian cheese blend

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Unroll puff pastry sheets onto a lightly floured surface and roll them into 10-inch squares.
  3. Brush one sheet of puff pastry with an egg wash. Top the egg wash with chopped parsley, minced garlic, and shredded Italian cheese.
  4. Place the other sheet of puff pastry over the garlic mixture, then press it down with a rolling pin.
  5. Cut the pastry into 20 strips. Tie each strip into a knot and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with parsley or fresh basil.
