Description

Delicious spaghetti boats filled with flavorful Italian ingredients, perfect for a fun meal.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium zucchini
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the zucchini in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds to create boats.
  3. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions and set aside.
  4. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic; cook until beef is browned.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Mix cooked spaghetti into the meat mixture.
  7. Fill zucchini boats with the spaghetti mixture and place in a baking dish.
  8. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes until zucchini is tender and cheese is bubbly.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
  • Use any ground meat in place of beef if desired.
