Delicious and visually appealing pepperoni rose pastries made with puff pastry, mozzarella cheese, and pizza sauce.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 24 slices beef pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- All-purpose flour, for dusting
Instructions
- Prepare the oven and pan your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a muffin tin with olive oil. This helps the roses hold their shape while baking.
- Roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface, gently rolling out the puff pastry into a rectangle. You want it slightly thinner but still sturdy enough to hold the fillings.
- Add a thin, even layer of pizza sauce over the pastry. Leave a small border along one long edge to help seal the roll later.
- Layer the mozzarella evenly across the surface. Then arrange the beef pepperoni slices along the top half of the pastry, slightly overlapping them so the top edges extend just beyond the pastry. This is what creates the “rose petal” look once rolled.
- Season dried oregano and basil over the top. The aroma alone will start to feel like a pizzeria in your own kitchen.
- Fold the bottom half of the pastry up over the pepperoni slices. Then, starting from one end, gently roll the strip into a tight spiral. The pepperoni edges should peek out like petals.
- Place each roll into a muffin cup. This helps them bake upright and keep their rose shape.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the cheese is bubbling.
- Cool slightly and serve them cool for about 5 minutes before removing from the pan. Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- For an extra kick, you can add red pepper flakes to the cheese layer.
- Make sure not to overfill the pastry to avoid spilling during baking.
