Description
Delicious sliders made with Gorton’s fish sandwich filets, topped with American cheese, fresh lettuce, and tartar sauce on Kings Hawaiian buns.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 filets Gorton’s fish sandwich (18 ounce bag)
- 8 buns Kings Hawaiian slider
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 slices American cheese, sliced in half
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- tartar sauce (use as little or as much as you prefer)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Bake 8 Gorton’s fish sandwich filets on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet for 15 minutes.
- While the fish is cooking, coat the bottom of 8 Kings Hawaiian slider buns with 2 Tablespoons melted butter.
- Flip the filets over and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- At the same time, put the rolls into the oven as well. Toast the rolls until light golden brown (this time can vary by oven but it should take just a few minutes) around the edges, and then remove the fish and the rolls from the oven. If you do not like your buns toasted, just skip this step.
- Top each roll with a half slice of American cheese, a baked fish filet, shredded lettuce, and spread some tartar sauce on the top half of the bun. Place the bun on top and serve!
Notes
- Using the container the slider buns came in is acceptable as it is oven safe. If using another brand, you may need to put the rolls on an oven-safe baking sheet—refer to the packaging.
